@manton Would the new Premium pricing mean email newsletters and podcasts will be separate per Premium blog?
@moonmehta We haven't officially announced the change yet, so it'll be more clear later... But basically Premium will include up to 5 blogs and each can have its own email newsletter or podcast. So, for example 5 podcasts at their own domain name is still $10 total.
@manton @moonmehta That's great news! š Quick question: will there be a simple process for people like me with two blogs to cancel one subscription and switch to Premium? Technically speaking, will the transition be seamless?
@vladcampos Yes, I'm hoping to automatically convert everyone's subscription when this is ready. If for some reason that misses anything, should be easy to adjust it.
@timapple I think it will make the $10 subscription more appealing, leading to more upgrades. Most people are still just going to have one or two blogs. If everyone created 5 blogs with thousands of large uploads, it's true our hosting costs would go up, but that is unlikely. It'll balance out.
@manton I've wanted to bring back some of my older blogs, but didn't want to set up a server, and do this on WP! This will be good for me.
@manton I just upgraded to Premium, but having another blog that my family could update (with a teams sub) using the plethora of posting apps, especially for my wife who thinks it's "too hard" to post right now, will be a compelling alternative to using facebook.
@manton That is a very good deal, sir. I donāt need a new, photo-heavy, blog, but canāt help but think someone who has a text-only account is paying for my hostingā¦
@maique I focus on the big picture, not the usage for specific blogs. Some people post podcasts, some people just text. Some people post all the time, some people just once a month. No one should have to worry about hitting limits for everyday blogging.
@manton I like this thinking!
@manton This is wonderful. I've been wanting to split part of my blog into a separate blog/newsletter, but didn't want to pay another $10 for it.
I see the āNew Blogā option in my account and the updated verbiage, but, when I create a new blog, it doesn't do anything. I can't get past the blog name. @help
Is it rolled out 100% yet?
@ericgregorich Sorry, I think something was cached as part of the update. Can you try again now and let me know if it works? Make sure to reload the page first.
@help I got moved up to Premium Account, but I still canāt get access to Newletters and Podcasts features. Do I have to wait for the next payment? Also, I think @import for fonts donāt work anymore when I put them on Edit CSS snippets.
@ningkantida Sorry, looks like the blog hadn't been updated to match your subscription. I've fixed it, so you should see the newsletters and podcast options now. (Not sure about the fonts... Will have to look into that.)
