@numericcitizen If you have the time, please let me know what the issues are either via Github or via email.
@endonend I've taken screenshots of your blog and jotted down a bunch of things we can improve on as a result.
Did you happen to import a bunch of content from another platform? I'm seeing a lot of HTML entities that were converted into odd characters.
@cdevroe Nope, no intention import done. But using RSS feeds from my other sites to come on my timeline.
@jemostrom I'm working with @manton to make that happen. I'd like to make it optional if possible so that people can have it either way. Stay tuned!
@jemostrom handsome site you have there... I can see a few things that can be improved upon from your site as well. Thanks for using Cypress. Expect updates!
@gr36 Yes, the workflow here is not good for quick iterations. I'm going to improve it. Maybe even a quick "resync from GitHub" feature would help to start with.
@gr36 it was a little cumbersome - but nothing this 40-year old veteran of HTML couldnβt handle. πͺ
@endonend how did you get the photos page with just the posts on with photos? I assume itβs creating a new page but then what?
@lukemperez yeah it's a page that micro.blog automatically collects for you. Here's Manton's help post on it: help.micro.blog/t/photo-p... Hope that helps!
@endonend Thank you. Something isn't working, but that's my problem. Glad to see it is something more or less built into Micro. Cheers.
@lukemperez weird! Are you able to create a page called Photos (with /photos as URL)? It's been awhile so I can't remember how that feature was rolled out and if we had to do anything.
@endonend I figured it out. I didn't realize all I needed to do was {{checks notes}} read Manton's post and click the clearly visible button for Micro to create the page automatically for me.
@endonend Is pagination not working properly? Or are you doing it differently? Please let me know I'd like to fix that.
@cdevroe I'm not seeing pagination at all on the default theme. In my custom, I took out the "if .Site.Params.paginate_home " tag on the post-list template. I tried adding to the config.json to trigger the pagination, but that didn't work so went to the brute method. LOL. Also, Photos page is SUPER fast now. Thanks!
@endonend If you dare, you can commit those changes to the repo. π But I'm adding it to my list to look into nonetheless.
@cdevroe think I did it! Was my first pull request, so not sure I did it right... looks like it worked though.
@cdevroe I added some styling to the comments section on my blog too. I can commit this if you want as well... sample: www.endonend.org/2021/01/2...
