I’m wanting to get back into reading via RSS feeds- I’m not sure whether to go with InoReader, Feedbin, or FeedWrangler. What’s the consensus? Which are you using and why?

@hiro I have been using Newsblur for a while. Haven’t had many issues. I hear a lot from Inoreader and Feedbin, but those are paid options.

@hiro Feedbin. It's one of the fastest and most solid web services I've ever used, and also probably the best (non-Google) web app I've ever used. My most-used little-known feature: the secret email address to subscribe to email newsletters alongside RSS feeds!

@hiro another Feedbin user here. Just joined last month and adore it.

@ablaze I didn’t know about the secret feedbin email! I recently started using Stoop for that kind of thing but now that i know i can do the same thing in feedbin, i think I’m going to switch.

@donovanwatts It’s pretty awesome to have newsletters and Twitter accounts right in there with RSS feeds. I kind of consider any text-focused publishing tool that isn’t a blog to be just a fake blog, so Feedbin lets me treat those accordingly. 😄

@hiro I’m another Feedbin user and love being able to follow Twitter users directly in the app

@hiro I used to use FeedWrangler, but more recently switched to InoReader which offers more power. It is very similar to the old Google Reader (RIP).

@canion Interesting! I do miss Google Reader, quite a bit. Which power features are most compelling for you with InoReader?

@cm @ablaze @craigmcclellan @ronguest For you good folks using Feedbin, are any of you using the Feedbin Notifier app? Is it fairly reliable? (Also is it an add-on subscription, or baked in part of the offering? I can’t find documentation one way or the other on the site!)

@hiro There’s only one subscription, and it gets you everything. I have used that app, and it’s totally reliable, but I don’t really have any RSS feeds I want notifications for, it turns out. @cm @craigmcclellan @ronguest

@hiro He does have an iOS app for the main service coming soon. I’m on the TestFlight. It’s just a wrapper around the web version, but it’s pretty good. I’m using it on iPad because Reeder is broken on the new iPad Pro 😑 @cm @craigmcclellan @ronguest

@hiro I used it for awhile but don’t any longer - just don’t want any notifications for feeds.

@hiro I like search term highlighting, similar feed filtering, and the ability to subscribe to email newsletters and some Facebook pages I have to monitor. Also love the keyboard shortcuts - j,k,space, etc.You can also 'boost' polling frequency of selected feeds.

@hiro I have used NewsBlur for years. It also supports Twitter feeds and newsletters, like the other services you've been recommended. Just some more food for thought!

@hiro I use and love Feedbin too. Also, I had to get some help with an issue I was having at one point, and the developer gave fast and excellent support. Big fan of the service.

@vasta I was for a long time. Joined after Google Reader. I switched to Feedbin in the last year and haven’t regretted it. No innovation and as bare bones as one can get. Feedbin is worth it if only for the email newsletter support.

@hiro I've been using FeedWrangler for several years but I've made the decision to switch to Feedbin. It's more expensive but is also nicer.

@hiro I personally endorse NewsBlur, but I am biased, since I work on the iOS client app. It is a nice trainable service, though. (If anyone has feature suggestions or bug reports for the iOS client, let me know, or add to the issue tracker.)
