This weekend I will be staying a few days in Göteborg. Any tips? Anything off the beaten path?

@jeroensangers not me. It's been 35 years since I lived there for a couple of months ... so no idea of it looks there today

@jeroensangers It’s been a while but I used to live in Gothenburg. I really like that city. If you like records, visit the store Bengans in the area Majorna. Drink coffee (there’s lot of good cafés), take a walk in the park Slottsskogen, take a boat to the archipelago (great places for a day with sun and swimming).

@ndreas Thanks for the tips. I will get a lot of coffee, probably visit the record store (though I don’t buy physical media anymore) and see whether we can make it to the park. As for the archipelago, we heard that in this time of your the southern islands are the nicest. Is that correct?

@jeroensangers I couldn’t say which of the islands that is most worth going to. I know there is one with a sandy beach.

@ndreas Which island is that? Or is that a secret by local people not to be shared with tourists? 😜

@jeroensangers Vrångö! I found out now that there is a couple of sandy beaches actually but this is the biggest one. Take a boat from Saltholmen, and to Saltholmen you go by tram.
