@nathanrhale Congrats! I'm stuck on Instagram still due to my SO, but hopefully, I'll wear her down. Reddit is one they will need to pull from my cold dead hands. I love the animal subreddits, and thankfully pleasant people frequent the few tech-related subreddits I browse.
@nathanrhale Never heard of MeWe. You may have just inadvertantly added to my social media problems. 😉
@nathanrhale Wow, that’s an impressive list! I’ve done several of those steps myself but I haven’t put Reddit in the same bucket in my mind. The way I use it it’s not a social thing for me, I guess.
@christopherchelpka Inwant to celebrate but FOMO is real. 😬 This will take some adjustment!
@joshsullivan I get it! It may be tough for me to stay away from Instagram due to family too. Reddit can be great, but keeping it on the laptop and not phone seems like a healthy boundary for me.
@stevepbrady uh oh! MeWe is actually a very well thought out and cool service—I just couldn’t get the traction I needed in terms of connections to make it worth it, really. And it’s still another network to maintain and monitor.
@ronguest I totally get that. I found myself scrolking Reddit A LOT on my phone...keeping it on the laptop seems like an appropriate boundary for me, for now.
@AlanRalph thanks. Hopefully after some extended time away I will have the perspective needed to focus in only on those platforms that are truly valuable to me, in healthy ways.
@nathanrhale Brave man! I’m pretty close on Facebook. Such a toxic place. Just need to hand off the church’s page to someone.
@marmanold I'm grateful my admin can handle the FB page. We also have a church Instagram, but don't use it much.
@nathanrhale That is brave. I am afraid to drop LinkedIn—but that’s how they want me to feel about it.
@mjdescy No doubt they one you to feel that way, which we all have to be extra focused when thinking about the actual value a product like LinkedIn brings to our lives. For me and what I do, I found it just didn’t provide a compelling ROI of the time spent.
@canion hopefully to be used for more and deeper reading!
