A list of good enough blogging platforms by price if you just want to write: journal.jatan.space

@pratik Yes. Ghost (on MagicPages) is by far my personal favorite but @jannis announced that the Starter plan is going away from this March onwards and so I had to remove it from that price segment and list only the Pro plan. Personally, I’m sad about this because I have onboarded quite a few price-sensitive friends & people to blogging & newslettering thanks to the Starter plan but I also totally understand Jannis’ rationale here. Luckily, Pika Pro is looking better than ever for that price segment.

@moonmehta It looks like each post has its own permalink, one to “thoughts” and one to the “bits” subdomain. Do you have something set up to automatically copy to both blogs? The fact that each has its own link to me means that Micro.blog is working correctly, but definitely confusing.

@help Oh but I don’t have anything setup to copy posts to the “bits” subdomain from anywhere. In fact, the “bits” feed is not even in my Sources! Checking my Posts tab in Micro.blog confirms there are no posts on bits.jatan.space at all.

@moonmehta I’ve looked through all of these posts and I’m still confused, but I can tell you that there are only two possibilities: the extra posts are either created from looking up Mastodon posts or from receiving a webmention. Have you ever used something like Brid.gy that can send webmentions? You’re right that it has nothing to do with Sources.

@manton I have setup Echofeed to send webmentions from my blogs. But it doesn’t apply for the bits.jatan.space subdomain. Brid.gy is not enabled for those blogs, but I’m using fed.brid.gy on the Fediverse presence provided by Micro.blog.
