I followed @johnvoorhees@mastodon.macstories.net through Micro.blog and his name is so long it breaks scrolling in the Micro.blog app. @manton is there a way display Mastodon users names rather than handles?
@philbowell Not yet, but we do need to solve that... Micro.blog wasn't designed with such long usernames in mind. Might truncate them as a start.
@philbowell @manton I would also love to see a user's name instead of their @whatever name. Just makes for a better reading experience overall.
@anthonyallison @manton Iād like that too. I think currently only Gluon has that ability but would be great to have it on the Web as well.
@philbowell Alrighty, in that case, I'll spend some time on that. I've been making a few tweaks yesterday, so will try and get this in today at some stage. It certainly won't be perfect, but I'll try and get it to work with the profile view at least.
