Is this the new ADN?
@infodriveway I don't think Micro.blog is the next App.net. Micro.blog is centered on publishing (the blog part of the name) and on the users owning and managing their own content. App.net was just another social network—Twitter without the famous people. Micro.blog will likely attract a far narrower user base than App.net did, but it does not have to answer to investor groups and seems likely to stick around as long as Manton is interested in it. I think Micro.blog is a niche, lifestyle business, like Pinboard, that can keep a small number of people employed and happy with the revenue indefinitely.
@infodriveway It sounds like you might need this: ADN Finder. For longevity's sake, I hope not. Otherwise, kind of.
@infodriveway Now that I see this had a thread, mjdescy said it much better. I backed and joined for some of the same reasons as ADN, but this one has good soil and looks like it will grow good roots.
