… ah, if only i had the womanly figure to wear this dress!… i think i would have to be a few decades younger too!…

@mbkriegh It looks great! There’s a lot of reasons why I wouldn’t want to be a woman, but they sure have great options in clothing. Then again, it could be that I lack the imagination, (and boldness), to dress otherwise. 👗

@odd it takes courage to don feminine forward clothing as a man. I live in a pretty progressive community and have been received pretty well in this transition. I also love the clothing options that are opening up to me. I wore my linen maxi dress (which is very kaftan like) over the weekend and i have to tell you it was an extremely comfortable garment to wear.

@mbkriegh I can imagine they are! I’m very glad to hear that you live a place that is very progressive and reasonably open minded. I don’t really have a desire, or a body for feminine clothing, but I’ve been thinking about getting an African shirt, or a djellaba for summers, neither very feminine, but I hear they are very comfortable in the heat. I’ve seen some very colourful African shirts, which will probably be my first purchase.

@odd we all should find and wear the clothing that makes us feel good! Look forward to seeing your African prints!

@mbkriegh Thanks! I’ve been looking at them over at Amazon, because I don’t know where else to look, but I don’t know how well they’re made. If anyone reads this and knows where to find good materials, colourful African shirts, please let me know.

@mbkriegh I’ve been second guessing myself, thinking I may have been off putting. I just wanted to let you know that I applaud you for having the courage, and determination to try it, and see it that’s something you like. Here were I live, I would probably be shot or stabbed for doing something like that. I live in a progressive democracy, but there are segments of the population that don’t care about that. At Pride 2022, two people were killed and 23 wounded when a man opened fire outside a restaurant downtown, (deliberately targeting LGBT+ people). But neither do I think I personally would look good in a dress like the one you showed a picture of. I look bad in plus sized men’s clothing even. Well, that was a long addition, but I don’t want you to feel bad, (I didn’t feel like you were from that last reply though).

@odd not feeling bad:)… i enjoy our exchanges… it feels to me like you are working out what your style will be… i encourage you to do what feels true to your self… that’s what i am doing… i am nervous presenting feminine sometimes… i am careful about where i present in full feminine mode, as i call it… there are places i just wouldn’t take that presentation… the town i live in is progressive liberal, though there are MAGA types around… the surrounding county has a lot of MAGA people… even within town there are places i wouldn’t take my feminine presentation… pretty much all the clothing i have now is women’s clothing, but i have selected many garments that read either as masculine or feminine depending on what i accessorize it with… a pair of black jeans and one of my tunic like tops, no makeup, and i am in masculine territory… my overall intent is to walk back and forth over the not very distinct line between masculine and feminine… i am not presently interested in passing as a woman…
