Looks like the new monitor position I’m using was not a good idea. Now I have more neck strain than ever :-(

@V_ aww that stinks!

The advice I’ve heard is “top of monitor roughly in line with eyes” which doesn’t work really well for different sizes.

The better advice I’ve heard is “arms straight forward are roughly in the middle of the monitor”, which works better for me.

@V_ I don’t know if you wear glasses but I found it important to have glasses with a single focal length just for looking at the computer. Progressives force a head tilt that caused lots of problems.

@mbkriegh @V_ …and if you recline in a chair, it’s not ideal to watch TV with progressive glasses. Next time I’m not getting those. I have reading glasses, so I’ll use both. (Not at the same time of course). 🤓

@toddgrotenhuis yep the first one I was what triggered the change in the setup in the first place. But thanks for the second one. I did not know that one yet. And it looks like the new position also helps with that criteria as well.

@mbkriegh I wear glasses otherwise I would not see anything in the distance (and at the computer). But I only have single focal lenghts one.

But I wonder if I need to check my prescription again. I have a feeling that I’m starting to move towards the screen to better see my code. But it could also just be my bad posture.
