I think 75mm is just a little too long for walk-around use. This is uncropped, at lunch. I’m sure he’d say, “Too close!” :)

@jack The 50mm I have in my Fuji is like a 75 and I think it’s a weird lens for most stuff, but I like it for portraits and the compression can be cool for taking pictures of buildings and such

@hjertnes The plan was to use it for portraits. I figured the 75 would give me a smidge more breathing room than the usual 85 or 90mm.

@jack for my Nikon I have, as most do, a variety of lenses, most prime. When I take it for a spin, I choose 1 lens and work within its constrictions. I like long lenses for the way they compress space. I don’t photograph people much. Objects, streetscapes, landscapes.

@mbkriegh I never think to try longer lenses for anything other than portraits. Maybe i should take it out more.
