It’s really not that bad, but there is a certain absurdity to it.

@len it does look a bit silly, just like the charging of the Magic Mouse 2 underneath the mouse...

@len It’s amusing to me because other than the risk of snapping, it’s actually a great idea in a practical sense. So often Apple is criticised for choosing form over function, and this is an example of it doing the total opposite with the technology of the time.

@len I’ve come to enjoy the slight absurdity of it. I shall miss it when I finally upgrade to the new generation of Pros and Pencils.

@len Yes, in practice it wasn’t too bad. But it was awkward as ... I was glad to get rid of that when I got my new iPad Pro.

@martinfeld I 100% agree, but now I get to experience that same sense of “I’m going to ruin this costly Apple product I just bought” as when I got AirPods. Somehow still haven’t lost one in over a year, but I think about it every time I use them.

@len Haha I feel the same when I use my Apple Pencil as I have the same one. The feeling is real!

@len I think it's absurd. I am worried about that thing snapping off inside the lightning port. Is that type of incident covered under Apple warranty?
