Moving to a paper calendar and task list has been a game changer for me. I’ve never been this on top of my life and so clear on what needs to be done.

@marmanold My to-do list has been entirely analog for some years now, but I haven't yet made the switch to a paper calendar (though I've considered it). Also, nice pen! TWSBI?
@jonah I write out the week on Monday morning and just manually add additions as they happen. It's sitting open on my desk all day and always with me, so it's not hard to do.
@drewbelf It is a TWSBI. Good pen. — Digital is still "source of truth." But having paper to reference is great. I can keep my phone (and its distractions) away as I move through my day.
@marmanold What calendar is that? Pet peeve of mine is calendars that squeeze weekends to half size. I dream of going all-paper, but have so many recurring daily, weekly, monthy, and annual items, which get handled so easily on a digital calendar, that I never take the plunge.
@JohnBrady Roterfaden Jahreskalender Layout 2 — For me, the paper calendar is just a disposable weekly reference. If someone's trying to schedule something further out than that, I'll just take a note down on my to-do list and circle back with them on scheduling via e-mail. I don't like having a device between me and the person I'm ministering to. Just feels like a wall.
@jonah You need to blog about this Light phone! I've got questions and am leaning more and more each day towards ditching my iPhone. I have less and less use for it.
@marmanold How I wish I could do that. Alas, too many online meeting links in all those calendar invites I get for work. Analog writing unlocks the brain, and a calendar is a solid snapshot of life as it was at that particular moment in a way that digital equivalents just can't manage to become, at least not for me. Good for you!
@marmanold @jonah I would love to know how the Light phone stacks up to other minimal options out there, like Punkt. One review of the Light said it had too few options.
@jonah Good to know! Thanks. Punkt is coming out with a new smartphone, with more features, so maybe I'll wait for that.
