I’m not sure what else to say. We knew it was coming, but the reality of what the CoE has done to the Communion is difficult to process. St. Charles did not lay down his life for his descendants to be so easily swayed by the gods of power and popularity.

@rcrackley The CoE approved liturgies for blessing same-sex unions. — The specific issue aside, it’s a big deal because it means the majority of Anglicans worldwide are now in impaired communion with our mother church. Big cultural shift for us.

@rcrackley Well, the progressive side sees this as the compromise. To their mind “blessing” unions doesn’t change the definition of marriage. But, for the traditionalist side, it’s a distinction without meaning when many of the blessings come from the marriage liturgy. — I don’t see a way around schism and, probably, as a consequence to disestablishment of the CoE.
