My hopes for today are an ARM Mac mini-tower. I’d settle for an ARM Mac mini with user-serviceable memory and hard disk.

@marmanold I would like to have that as my next machine too. I’m currently on a 2012 MacBook, and while it can do all the things I need it to, it won’t get updates from Big Sur. I expect the iWork suite to not get upgraded from next year either. I think 8 years is a pretty decent lifespan for a computer, but at the same time, I feel it could live longer.
