All the Music I Bought on Bandcamp Friday: mariovillalobos.com

@mariovillalobos is Basecamp some sort of indie store of sorts ? Pardon my ignorance.

@Gaby @mariovillalobos basically yes, you nailed it.

@MadsMelia and I’m presuming anything bought thru there all goes to the artists ?

@Gaby the vast majority does, yes. Also, I think your last reply may have gone to the wrong person ;-)

@Gaby +1 for Bandcamp - I’ve got a giant collection of instrumental/ambient/lofi/chillhop type stuff on there.

@mariovillalobos Nice! I also bought that Death Cab live album.

@mariovillalobos digging haircuts for men and Doon Kanda. Great finds, thanks for sharing.

@Gaby yeah, pretty much. from my post yesterday:

…on Bandcamp Fridays, an average of 93% of your money reaches the artist/label (after payment processor fees). When you make a purchase on any other day of the month… an average of 82% reaches the artist/label.

@sku_b 🔥

@mariovillalobos ha! I’m going to keep this in mind the next time I want to buy an album
