@manton, (i also informed support) I have some weird errors on my account “mrscotton”. All themes give errors, about longdate for instance. I get red banner in timeline. I get red banners in “Design”… The SUMO theme works kind of… I have no idea what I did wrong. I just switched theme a few times.
@marc0janssen Looking into it. On the web can you click Account → Logs and then “Clear Errors”? Let me know if the error pops up again. Some of your errors look unrelated to your blog, might be something temporarily or something I need to fix.
@manton clearing the errors make the errors gom away. That seems the work all the time. But when I change theme to for instance Maria. I get errors. Like: Error: Error building site: failed to render pages: render of “page” failed: “layouts/post/single.html:14:92”: execute of template failed: template: post/single.html:14:92: executing “main” at <partial “dateformat/long” .>: error calling partial: partial “dateformat/long” not found View logs
@manton I found out what the problem is, but I can’t fix it (I think)… The problem is that when I switch themes, not all files are rewritten for the new theme and so themes get mixed up and error occurs. FIles like layouts/partials/head.html or layouts/post/single.html.
Is this something on your end you can fix?? Is for the account @mrscotton
@marc0janssen Ah, that makes sense about the file differences when switching themes. For now, you may need to click the “Rebuild” button on the Logs page, which will clean out any leftover files. I’ll see if we can improve this for switching themes.
@manton thanks. I just copied the code from 1 account to the other account. That fixed it (for now).
Weird fact that 1 account (@mrscotton) has this problem. But the other account (@marc0janssen) does not.
@manton just one little thing. It is not just left over files.
It’s files of two themes getting mixed up and so code error occur and theme won’t render. Only by copying code from another account can fix it.
If you don’t have two accounts, you can’t fix it by yourself and you can only use SUMO theme.
All other theme render useless.
@marc0janssen Weird, that’s not supposed to happen… Is it possible that you have multiple theme plug-ins installed on the Plug-ins page? Try removing any themes you aren’t using there if things have gotten muddled. Sorry!
@manton yes, I have only 1 theme plugin when the problem occurs.
For instance if sumo ia live and I install marfa. Then remove sumo => things are broken. If the then clear errors and force a rebuild , the website is gone and the browser shows a “Not found”
If I the reinstall sumo things render again but broken.
If the then uninstall mafra (so sumo is only theme), things are fine.
All theme are broken accept sumo.
I can only fix a theme by coping code for an other account. But then sumo is broken.
@manton I must say that I choose the option for EU-server but when moving the data to the EU, some weird stuff happened. Things timed out and I had the refresh the browser.
@marc0janssen Hmm. I’m checking that… It looks like everything did copy for the EU servers. I’m going to zap some caches, let me know if you continue to see problems.
