Continuing to think about how to stay competitive when software is abundant. Support and trust are a big part of it. But also there are still things that take a lot of time to build or money to run.

@manton that’s why this idea that AI will enable everyone to do their own thing and everything will collapse is nonsense. Nerds will. Everyone else will continue doing what they’ve been doing. I’m a nerd and have been programming for over 40 years. I have no desire to use AI to do any of this crap.
@jasonkratz Yeah, I guess if your product is for nerds there’s always a risk they will make their own thing. But most people don’t want to maintain apps.
@manton you might like parts of the conversations Justin Jackson has with folks on The Panel. He thinks the human support angle is the big differentiator. panelpodcast.com/60
@manton FYI something weird is happening in my view of this chat. if I click on the conversation link I see your post and your reply to my reply but I don’t actually see my reply ;) this has been happening all over my timeline where bits and pieces are missing. in other words conversation mode isn’t showing the whole conversation.
@manton Micro.buck_seventy_five is the sweet spot.
@jasonkratz Thanks, this matches something that @sod has also noticed. Looking into it.
