Amazon. I'm begging you. Page turn buttons. Please.
Amazon. I'm begging you. Page turn buttons. Please.
@jsonbecker Now that they have the separate Amazon Click, I’m guessing page turn buttons on the Kindle itself aren’t coming back, at least not soon.
@manton it feels insane to me. The Click is a horrible solution to the problem.
@jsonbecker I guess if you’re propping up the Kindle on something, not holding it? That’s not usually how I read, but I can kind of see it.
@jsonbecker Did you see they are releasing an optional case that the Kindle fits into with page buttons? This feels like a pretty good compromise.
@robertbreen that is something, far better than the remote idea. But $79 is as much as a whole Kindle. Sigh, my Kindle is the really expensive one they don’t still make and has a screen crack though…
@robertbreen of course it doesn’t work with the Aluminum Kindle.
@manton I use a Levo book stand with a tablet attachment for most of my nightly reading. It suspends the Kindle (or physical book) at a perfect reading height from my reading chair and completely resolved the neck pain I got from long bouts of reading. The Click will definitely make this easier than reaching up to tap the screen for the next page. Definitely an edge case though.
@robertbreen Interesting! There have gotta be a lot of people like that if they have a dedicated product for it.
@jsonbecker Doh! Classic upsell. I justified the higher price for the Paperwhite because I’ve gotten nine years out of the last one. The trade-in credit and 20% discount helped too.
@robertbreen I had a kindle years ago. However, these days I read on an iPad Pro or even an iPhone in bed if I can’t sleep. Is it worth buying another kindle?
@Eyebeemania I may have sensitive eyes, but I can’t read for very long on my iPad or iPhone. And even with the nightmode screen setting turned on, the screen messes with my sleep. If you’re reading for long stretches, especially at night, I would definitely encourage checking out a dedicated e-reader.
@robertbreen Which Kindle would you recommend?
