With the 40th anniversary re-release of the original Transformers movie coming up, I finally watched the 2007 Transformers. I had skipped it because it looked all wrong. The design doesn’t look like Transformers to me. Also watched Bumblebee, which it much better, just a better feel, better sound.
@manton born in 1965, I have always been bemused by Transformers.
I guess I was too old to know about the original incarnation, and so when it showed up decades later, I had absolutely no interest/sympathy/empathy for it, and continue to be boggled why anyone gives a shit about this.
Not that I'm judging!
There’s stuff that hits me hard in the feels that others are like WTF.
But a great object lesson for me re: what 5-10 years difference in age can mean for what one gives a shit about.
@Storagezilla I actually didn’t know that, even though I’m a fan of his from the Laika movies. Guess he loves 1980s nostalgia!
