Why are we still doing image CAPTCHAs? I’m pretty sure modern AIs can blitz through these now. Instead, we should throw free-text challenges like “Please type ‘anachronistic’ incorrectly.” If you misspell it, or type “dog”, you’re in.
@lmika I hope image CAPTCHAs aren’t long for this world. It often takes me a couple tries to solve them as a human. “Click all the motorcycles… But what if one square just had a tiny part of a tire?”
@manton Yeah, it all starts getting philosophical after a while. Is a motorbike a tire? Is a tire a motorbike? Does it matter, I just want to login! 😄
@manton What we really need is a captcha based on Godel’s Proof: “click all propositions that are true but unproveable given these axioms.” Send those LLMs right into a tailspin :)
