Wind turbine blade going up I-35. I’m always amazed at these, seeing them up close.

A large wind turbine blade is being transported on a flatbed truck along a road under a clear blue sky.

@manton Is that where they have the front part on a truck and then the back end on a separate little trailer? Must be amazing up close.

@manton Always hard to remember just how large these are when you’re seeing them from a distance.

@Miraz Yep, they’re pretty long. Must be tricky to turn without hitting things too.

@manton They’re impressive for sure. A couple weeks ago I was driving south from Iowa City and passed half a dozen blades heading north in the span of 20-30 minutes. I figured they were probably shipped up the Mississippi to Keokuk & then put on wheels for the trip inland.
