Something I’ve been asking myself lately: what new things are possible when AI costs drop? I’ve been improving Micro.blog’s Logs page, and this morning updated it to rewrite confusing Hugo messages in more friendly language. It even localizes if your account isn’t set to English.
@manton With all due respect, you seem vulnerable and intent on turning micro.blog into micro.slop. I hope that doesn’t happen. Don’t fly too close to the sun.
@manton the long tail of things AI enables finally getting around to is great, both at my day job and for the first time in many years some real side projects.

@matthewcowen this is a genuine benefit not slop. For less technical people the error messages are terrible. I get your point and agree that things like LLM writing assistance isn’t what we want. But this isn’t that.
@evanwolf I don’t think they will 10X in price. At least not for simple stuff. Tech always goes down in price over time.
