@manton Blog about whatever you want. You don’t owe anyone anything, especially to be quiet. Your blog is your space. If some prat on Mastodon doesn’t like what you said, they can take a stress pill and relax.
@bloftin2 I mean, you’re not wrong! I just need to find the right balance, and there is a lot to work on as it is.
@manton I try real hard to just not post things that I will be ashamed of or embarrassed about later. I also don’t insult anyone (except Trump) on my blog.
@bloftin2 I have the same strategy. No personal attacks. And I think some of my “controversial” posts have withstood the test of time really well.
@manton It may not seem like it based on some of my more ranty postings, but I am actually the lead instructor at our aikido dojo now, and I try to behave myself online in a way that would not freak our students out. The online world can leak out in to the flesh and blood world.
@manton I see the standard site integration is live on your site! BTW there are some differences in the bluesky post body to make the fancy embed work. The microblog crossposter may need an update to produce the right embed in the record.
@manton.org So in Micro.blog the embeds are optional, and for now I have them disabled on my account. Maybe I’ll enable them for a while so we can see it all working.
