@apoorplayer Yes, video cross-posting supports YouTube and PeerTube. (And for shorter videos up to 3 minutes, Bluesky too.)

@manton Suggestion, on the docs I see 128kbps MP3 audio seems to be the extracted audio format for podcasts. If this was 128kbps Opus it would give better audio fidelity in comparison.
@Storagezilla 128 Kbps was picked a while ago, so we should revisit it… We could bump to 192 as a small change.
@manton Opus and AV1. Those may be a bit too grinding on your compute resources but it’s what YouTube and streamers are delivering to mobile these days. But I get you have costs to maintain so whatever works.
@Storagezilla Thanks. I’m not as worried about compute as I am about compatibility with podcast clients, which is why I’ve focused on MP3 (and AAC). Maybe Opus is an option later.
