After working on something that not everyone will agree on, I love returning to something universally good: books! Here’s another view of the upcoming books calendar feature, with an agenda-style list that works well even for not many books. For your blog, you can choose this or the calendar view.
@manton The agenda list looks great! Here’s an idea: let the user define how they’re grouped: by month, or by quarter, or by year.
I’m currently using the bookgoals plugin to display my read books by year, and it works well enough, but the visual presentation on this new feature looks so much better.
@timlockridge Thanks! We can definitely add more display options. I think we’ll start with just the full month and list, but I love the quarter idea.
@philbowell It’s not quite ready. I’m planning to roll it out in the next day or two and it will appear as a “Calendar” tab on the bookshelves page.
@manton Stylish list view. I really like this improvement, even if I haven’t yet used the books feature in practice. Makes me want to try it. ☺️
@manton Any thoughts on adapting a similar feature for video games? Kind of similar to books and movies in the grand scheme of things
