A couple days ago, OpenAI removed the 5-hour usage limit. I think it was meant to be temporary, but I wonder if they’ll make it permanent. It’s one less thing to worry about. Lots of numbers in a UI introduce friction, making your brain think about things that don’t really matter.

@manton it’s good in some ways like you said, but also it means i churn through the weekly one waaay too fast. i’m not sure how it was before (only got Codex on like Monday) but i managed to get through a weekly usage limit in 2 days..

@j4ck.xyz Keep an eye out for the “resets” they hand out like candy. I have several so can just reset usage if I need to, but I’m also on the Pro plan so basically never hit my limit. Or maybe I don’t give it enough hard coding problems. 🙂

@manton yeah! I did notice I think they did one yesterday(?) I seem to have it back! weird they can do them a lot, they should just increase the weekly limits atp to make it clearer for ppl who don’t check their twitter accounts ever 2 minutes lol

@manton Also if you get a moment of hyper focus working on a project it’s soooo bad getting fully stopped by hitting a 5h usage limit. This plus the banked resets thing (I don’t have any for some reason) I think it’s the good direction

@manton I use them just so I can bank new ones with a later expiration. Used 30% of my weekly, throw a reset at it!
