Watched the rest of Star City season 1. I liked it a lot. Has a science fiction-y feel even though it’s in the past. Also finished For All Mankind season 5, though I sort of lost interest in the characters. 📺

@manton same! Star City is good. For All Mankind is now boring.

@manton For All Mankind really dropped off into finishing out of obligation territory. Star City has been great though!

I think we just need more shows that have an ending and don’t drag on too much.

@manton I bailed out of FAMS5. It seemed to have become oddly claustrophobic, focused on the Mars colony of only a few thousand people. Also, I didn’t care about the characters anymore. I didn’t even know who they were, it had been so long between seasons.

@MitchWagner Yeah, I couldn’t really relate to the Mars colony. It sort of became a different show. Might’ve been stronger if they had wrapped it up after a few seasons.

@manton I also think FAM could have benefitted from shorter breaks between seasons. The first few episodes of this season referenced events of the previous season that I have since forgotten, and the show seemed to assume I was already familiar with them.

We may try Star City; I’ve heard only good things about it, including that it resembles “The Americans,” which we loved.

Lately we’re watching and rewatching a lot of old TV. Stargate SG-1, Justified and the occasional Inspector Morse are the top three in our rotation.
