Back in Austin, voted this morning. I had meant to early vote last week but too much was going on. James Talarico vs. Jasmine Crockett might end up being close! Very curious how it shakes out and if the party can come together united. 🇺🇸

@manton Damn, I do not envy your choice! I would love to know where you landed. I think I’d have gone with Talarico… but… oof, so consequential. 🫣
@manton I’m torn. On the one hand, I think the Democrat priority has to be to pick whoever polls the best in the general election. On the other, that risks getting people like Manchin or Sinema or Fetterman, who then proceed to do everything they can to prevent change. Glad I’m not in Texas today :)
@vegh.ca I went with Talarico. I feel pretty good about him putting together a compelling campaign for Texas right now. But I’ve always liked Crockett too.
@ffmike It’s so easy to second-guess everything too. I have a “don’t let perfect be the enemy of good” feeling about moderate candidates. Democrats need to get back to coalition building.
