Exactly one year since Trump was sworn in for his second term. Some things have been predictably bad and some things (Greenland?) have been nutty even for him.

I re-listened to the podcast episode I recorded two days after the 2024 election. I should listen to this every year to recenter myself.

@Nataliekayh That is probably the emotion I come back to the most often. I have to remind myself to redirect sadness into something productive, and that it’s going to get better… Nov 2026 really isn’t that far off.

This is perhaps cold comfort, but history provides plenty of world changing events to use as comparisons to the surreal nonsense we’re living through today. Imagine how the multitudes felt when suddenly a bunch of guys on horseback in metal suits show up and tell you this is France now? Gads!
