Satya Nadella started a new blog at the end of 2025. A couple interesting things about it… There is no mention of Microsoft, so it feels like a personal blog, and he quotes Steve Jobs:
A new concept that evolves “bicycles for the mind” such that we always think of AI as a scaffolding for human potential vs a substitute. What matters is not the power of any given model, but how people choose to apply it to achieve their goals.
Also his blog is using Hugo.
@manton I’d noticed it was a Hugo blog, too. I thought it was notable that it was so text-first and not tied to one of the major platforms.

@mathyousee Yeah, surprising. I’m always fascinated with what big companies choose when they need a blog. For example, Meta using some homegrown things but also WordPress.
@JohnPhilpin Unfortunately all the major tech executives (except Mark Zuckerberg) still post to X. If they haven’t left by now, not sure what will convince them.
@manton yes … this I know … but if I were an oligarch setting up my new personal blog to demonstrate my independence from tech hive mind .. I would in parallel set up something like a mastodon or BlueSky account and push that … but then .. I’m not. 😂
