@Manton Is there a way to have WordPress make the excerpt and title of a WP post part of the micro.blog post? Rather than just the title?
@donmacdonald Not a built-in way, although some people have experimented with custom WordPress feeds for this. I personally like the approach of creating a microblog post to describe and link to the longer post if you want to point out something about it before the user clicks. (I think that helps keep the timeline more conversational and not feel like it was automatically generated.)
@khurt No, that's one drawback to having a separate post, although you could have the summary post as a reply to the original post instead (and remove your @-username). This is an area that doesn't really have a perfect solution.
@donmacdonald i still think this is a great idea … and seen it in the threads before - even on the slack channels - there must be reason not to do it - because to my non technical brain .. it totally solves the problem!
