Fun discussion on the latest ATP about the OpenAI “egg”. I’ve been saying for a year or two that there is a real product here and eventually someone will crack it. (Oops, unintended egg pun…) Sandbar’s ring is the current best-looking attempt, but it’s 6+ months away.
@manton Pretty sure part of that video was filmed in Brooklyn. I recognize the tunnel she walked through (it’s near where I live). :)
@manton It looks like an interesting product, but the video feels very dystopian to me for some reason. Like it’s from the early scenes of a Blade Runner type film.
@philbowell Yeah, all these companies have to walk a fine line… Here’s a futuristic device that could be amazing for you or could be more isolating if used to replace human connection.
