@manton A couple times now I’ve had to go in and delete posts that have been doubled on my site from my Letterboxd account integration. Not a big deal to delete the duplicates. But it is kinda irritating that it reduplicates again at a later date.
This has now happened 3 times. So I thought I’d reach out. Is there anything I can do to avoid this happening in the future?
@thaddeushunt This happened because Letterboxd changed the identifiers in their RSS feeds. Unfortunately when cleaning out the duplicates, if the older duplicate was deleted instead of the new one, it could cause it to happen again… I’m going to add some special code to handle this with Letterboxd since their feeds don’t seem totally stable.
@manton ah, thanks, I figured it was on their end. It is a bummer it’s caused extra work for you though. ☹️ I’ll be sure to delete the correct post the next time anything duplicates again, if they even do.
