Waitress at Zach Scott was fantastic. What a perfect setting for it. In anticipation today we picked up Tiny Pies too.

@cheesemaker @manton.org Waitress is a musical with music by Sara Bareilles, currently playing at Zach Theater, Austin. I did not know any of this, but now I do. I guess that’s why they invented the Internet. As for Tiny Pies, well if they’re not, you know, tiny pies, then I’m stumped.

@manton cool. I had this musical not on my map until some month ago when I watched it in the airplane. Love the music by Sara and also loved the staging of the show. Would love to see it live!

@V_ It was amazing live. I had only seen the filmed Broadway version before.

@manton I imagine. Need to keep my ears open for the case it ever comes to Switzerland. Was the stage the same size as in the Broadway version? It looked rather small in the film.

@V_ The stage was really unique for this show. Pretty small, and there were seats on and behind the stage so some audience members were kind of part of the restaurant. It was really well done.

@tjw Ha, different Zach Scott! This is a theater in Austin named after Zachary Scott, an actor from the 1940s.
