The rain was not letting up, had to spend the last hour in the downpour, digging a channel on the side of the house to help relieve flooding next to the garage. Don’t think the house will flood. Water can be difficult… So many people are worse off.

@manton ugh. When we first moved in, I had to do the same for the back side yard. Someone had stupidly put in concrete under the gate to the front yard. During a storm, I had to tunnel under that barrier to get the water out to the front & drain. For other more isolated areas behind the house, we have a small pump w/strainer to help drain parts of the yard that have no outlet. In California, that gets deployed during atmospheric rivers. Those minor depressions you can’t easily see are annoying & bad

@rpmik Ugh. Yeah, similar problem here. We just moved in this year and it was a remodel and new landscaping that hadn’t been put to the test yet. Discovering some mistakes.
