I’m not finished but I did some digital spring cleaning and updated my website theme a bit. I wanted to explore making it more of a digital garden and less chronological. Part of that was implementing backlinks. I wrote up the steps here Backlinks on a Micro.blog hosted website.

@heyloura Thanks for the steps for adding Backlinks. I added them to my site and they worked a treat. I can recommend a small change, as I was seeing links to newsletter pages were getting picked up in the backlinks. I made a slight change to filter out newsletter pages out. by adding a new if block around the append:

if not (strings.HasPrefix .RelPermalink "/newsletters")

@heyloura You lost me at “You will need to edit your theme for single blog posts which is located at layouts/posts/single.html”. How do I even find this file to edit it? I’m using Tiny Theme and within Micro.blog settings I can only find an “Edit CSS” button (which I’ve used with success). Are you basically using a plugin?

@ZeroOne Oh I guess this kind of customization would be available in the higher price tiers of Micro.blog. I’m currently in the $1 tier… 😇
