Wow, the Swarm app has been completely redesigned. I don’t think it changed a single pixel in the last 5 years. Looks pretty good, now combining some of the explore functionality previously in Foursquare.
@madewulf I like checking in to places especially when I'm traveling, so I can look back at the visits later. Eventually I'm migrating all the data to my own site, but haven't finished all the tooling yet.
@manton I did like the app until the pandemic. Then it would say, “You haven’t been visiting many places.” and follow up with, “Is this trip really necessary? Only go out if you have to!” 😵💫
@manton the whole move to split swarm and foursquare was baffling to me… now they are back to original single app model! I keep on checking while traveling - helps remembering places I went… love the app - removed friends though - just for myself
