Watched some of the video with Trump, Vance, and Zelenskyy. We are in a very dark place with American foreign policy. Europe will have to take the lead. We have lost our way here, led by a narcissist whose selfishness and cruelty is almost beyond belief. 🇺🇸
@manton you’re correct, the problem the UK has is the basic total integration of the two countries from a defence intelligence perspective. We need to find a new path whilst still running on the old one. Overall though, yesterday was an utter stain on democracy from the supposed leader of the free world.
@manton Thank you for watching that. I cannot bear the stress. I cannot put my head in the sand, but I want to. At least one person stood up for himself and his country. I hope more of us dare to stand up for what is right.

@paulogpd Well, technically, I guess. Just not enough to overtake CDU/CSU. AfD only took 83 seats, and Merz has stated he will not be working with AfD to form a coalition. At least according to the results on Wikipedia. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025...
@tylerknowsnothing we should be skeptical of the "sanitarian cordon" around the AFD. It's already been broken once and there's nothing to suggest that it couldn't be broken again, it just depends on the interests at stake and how German realpolitik looks at the moment.
@paulogpd Oh, yeah. I hear you. I'm skeptical of everything these days. Action over words, as it were. Or, in the words of some movie guy, show me the money. Thanks to TFG words now have little value so I'll wait to see what's going to happen like the spectators we've been made into by power structures world wide. Sorry I'm sounding so pessimistic :D
