There are several principles that led to Micro.blog, but everything is built on the premise that if social networks are based on blogs it will encourage more people to blog, some people even writing longer posts, and so the web will be better. Social is a roller coaster today but this fact remains.
@manton this is part of the reason I love micro. The other part is that it allows me to focus on simply creating without having to do all the back office junk
@pratik Sure, there are so many stories of people who blogged more when using Micro.blog, or people who left and later realized they blogged much less often.
