@manton Is importing (historical) Facebook content into micro.blog supported (as it is with Instagram)?

@leefeagin Not yet, but I took another look at this last week and want to finish adding it soon. The first version of Facebook import might be limited just because of all the complexity with friends-only posts, etc. Basically your public statuses and photos. If there’s anything specific you want to see with the data, lemme know.

@manton Honestly, that would be a great start. I’ve not really paid attention to Facebook (as a platform) for so long that I don’t even know what’s possible (or what all is in the exported data that you get from the download).

The thing that springs to mind is (and this is all assuming the export includes this data) a reference to the original message if I had commented on it. I think the same for the “like” aspect may be a step too far (for you). I saw something similar with my Twitter import, that the comments I made were out of context when the original post was not present.

@leefeagin Maybe for replies we should add a link to the other post you’re replying to on Facebook.

@manton That would work (also the beauty of the web)!

@leefeagin @manton I noticed the same comments out-of-context-ness on my import from Medium…
