Wrote a draft post, deleted it. Trying to remind myself that I do not need to have the last word on every topic. Sometimes it’s better to just let things go.

@manton Yeah. Some things I can't just let lie, but those who show they're incapable of seeing reason I just let go into the ether to scream where I can't hear them any more :)

@tylerknowsnothing Haha. Especially when you have two people who like to have the last word, there's a risk of escalating indefinitely. 🙂

@manton I used to do that. I'll admit it :) But years ago someone told me that if I allow myself to be lead by the nose by my indignation that I'd never find time to just be happy. I've now been married for coming up on 30 years :) I like it this way, better :D

@manton true. But I also find DayOne helps for journaling things you just need to write down and get of your chest.

@derekpeden Agreed. Journaling can be part of lettings thing go in a more private way, I guess.

@manton I try to remind myself of this daily. We are not here to argue, or convince, if that's even possible through the internet. We're here to write and build community, connections, friends. Most internet users do not care for charity or the presumption of grace, including me at times, which makes for a poor place to even discuss possibly controversial topics.

@scattershot Well said. For some topics, no good can come from arguing. Of course it's often hard to tell where the line is.
