In the past 15 seconds I have clicked the blue-bar notification in the MB Mac app for “new posts”. Each time the bar just disappears, the timeline reloads, and there is nothing new.
I now feel worse. This repetitive, pointless clicking is exactly the behaviour I have not associated with Micro.blog.
@SimonWoods The new mentions check in the Mac app has been unreliable for a long time, unfortunately. It happens when switching back and forth between sections of the app. We will fix it, not an attempt to pointlessly drive engagement!

My ideal long-term progression of the platform is that you're able to focus more on the things you enjoy the most, which has often seemed to include this app. Specifically with AppKit of course :)
