@manton - image playground - Not great. My gut says Apple ought hold off/delay
@manton image playground. I think it has some problems. Some folks aren’t going to like how it renders them. They’re going to be mad when friends use their image. I think it has potential to be a PR nightmare for Apple. Genmoji, less so. Images are smaller and less apt to accentuate unflattering details.
@manton I think the folks suggesting Image Playground is lacking use cases are not getting out of their own heads. Honestly, it’s a problem with tech commentary generally. Mostly male tech pundits don’t seem to make an effort to role play other people’s scenarios. I only see folks (Mostly men) trying their best to come up with worst case scenarios that will get Apple into trouble. It’s all cynical.
Useful examples:
I mean, you know, open up the Pages app and look at the templates. Now imagine using Image Playground used by normal people. There’s your use case.
@atlwx.bsky.social Yeah, I’m convinced now of what I should’ve already known: start with AppKit and then mix in SwiftUI for views as needed.
