All of my favorite podcasts are talking about the same thing this week. Can’t listen to them. I’m making progress on some audiobooks instead.

@manton I’m listening to The Count of Monte Cristo. Perhaps we’ll get out of this about the same time he does. 🤷🏼‍♂️

@manton Yeah I’m considering making our TWiT shows a politics free zone from now on.

Unfortunately there’s a lot of intersection between tech and politics these days, but, despite my own strong political opinions, I think people need and want a respite. Let’s make tech fun again!

@leo Yeah, there is a lot of overlap in tech and politics, and it can’t be avoided sometimes. A respite is nice, though!

@manton I used the skip chapter or fast-forward button on several of my favorite podcasts this week. It is even worse because I am a week behind on some of them, so I can still hear the hope when listening to them, and that makes it even more depressing

@klandwehr I had to essentially just mark everything in my queue as done. Which is too bad because I’m sure I missed some good discussions.

@klandwehr I’ve had to skip a bunch of mine, too. Sometimes listening to someone else process and question everything they previously believed about what would happen, in front of me, it doesn’t validate my feelings. It just feels like all this added weight when I’m trying so hard to just stay afloat.
