@manton one of my concerns with micro blogs replacing Twitter is duplication and the lack of canonical conversations. My guess is that canonical conversions live on the micro blog of the original post, but is there something I can read to better understand this topic?

@jackwellborn Nothing specific to read, but if you want to post to your own microblog and Twitter, I wouldn't worry too much about duplication. Some is unavoidable, including fragmented conversations. But starting at a microblog will make it possible to solve this over time.

@manton Thanks, one point of clarification though. Does “starting at a microblog…" mean any microblog, even self hosted (thus making the "at” extraneous?)

@jackwellborn Instead of "at" I probably should have said "with a microblog". The goal is to encourage microblogs of all kinds, no matter where they are hosted. But of course I can only control how quickly features are adopted on Micro.blog-hosted blogs.
