@manton very handy!

@manton Brilliant! 🙌🏻

@manton When posting with Markdown, does ![](url) work for referencing images on Micro.blog?

@sku\_b It works, but I don’t like it because it doesn’t include width and height attributes for the image. This feature includes a good default width.

@ronguest @simonwoods Thanks!

@manton oh neat! I’m assuming this only works from the web?

@manton Gotcha!

@manton Good to know. Thanks for implementing this!

@manton That's a nice little enhancement and should be easier for many people.

@manton are the native apps open source?

@manton Any chance that you might change the default behaviour of micro.blog from cropping images into a square to not touch them? Some things look kinda odd when posting from mobile. e.g. flow.micro.blog/2019/07/1...

@microflow When choosing a photo on iOS, there's a button in the corner of the screen to toggle off the cropping. (We have some things on GitHub, but the apps aren't currently open source.)

@manton Hmmm also on Sunlit?

@microflow Sunlit doesn't crop photos automatically, but the preview thumbnail is shown square. You can tap and select "Edit Photo" to see the full version. I'd like to change this to show the original aspect ratio in the preview for a future version.
