Last post about Biden for a while. Dave Winer makes a point I’ve wanted to blog about:

  1. If Biden gets disabled, or dies, before or after the election – VP Harris steps up.
  2. Now everyone can relax.

I’m not worried that Biden will die or have to resign halfway through his term. That’s why we have a vice president. Kamala will finish the job, make history, then run for re-election. 🇺🇸

@manton 100% this. This election is about two very divergent ideologies. At the end of the day if Biden is unable to perform the duties of the office there is a line of succession.

So voting for Biden is the same thing as voting for Kamala Harris.

@manton I can imagine Kamala screaming in her head, Guys, I'm right here.

Has there been any policy or political decision that Biden has made that has made people wonder, that guy seems to have lost his marbles. Maybe some think that about his decision to forgive student debt 🤷🏽‍♂️

@manton I think the argument is that Biden is already disabled and still not stepping aside. I'm not sure you can just wave away what happened on the stage.

@cheesemaker I don't think that argument holds because if so we'd be seeing calls for him to resign too, from his own staff, senators, etc. Instead the opposite is happening. He's lost a step, but he's also held a dozen events since last week.
