@manton An alternative to having it cloud-based is running those intents on your iPhone even if triggering them from a Mac or Home Pod. Apple is getting very good at their continuity suite. Look at the new iPhone Mirroring in Sequoia that also works while the phone is locked. This could work the same way, and would maintain the privacy benefits.

@nighthawk That could be really interesting. At the very least, it probably makes sense for the watch and HomePod. I’m just not sure Apple thinks this it’s a problem.

I came here to post almost exactly the same thing! I think there’s a lot of potential in executing everything on your iPhone and thinking of other devices as inputs into it. Our phones are so capable, why rely on the cloud unless absolutely necessary?
