For folks using Micro.blog Premium with the AI setting enabled, you may start to notice some new generated data for photos, as in this screenshot. I’ll blog more about this in the coming weeks when it’s fully enabled. The goal is better photo search and accessibility.
@manton This is literally all I want to use to AI for. Tag photos. Write alt text. Let me review it but compose it in a way that's helpful.
@peroty Yep, it's useful for very specific tasks like this. I'm not interested in having AI write my actual blog posts, just help around the edges.

@manton from what I've seen so far via my uploads page, this looks extremely promising! Reduce the friction of posting? Yes please!
@manton Having it add tags for search is such a good idea. And if that alt text is easily copied (maybe already plunked in the Markdown?) That's going to help a lot of people!
@manton I've been using Mimi to automatically generate alt text for photos, and it is darn impressive. Much of the time I use the text exactly as Mimi generates it, and the remaining time I just make some minor changes requiring seconds to do.
